I recently upgraded my pc with a Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB. For the first 2 days everything was running great but now all of a sudden my framerates are half of what they were and everything is stuttering. Temperatures are alright. GPU usage is always high. CPU usage is never above 70%.

My build is
- i5 4460 3.20 GHz
- Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB
- 8 GB RAM
- Windows 10 Pro

So, your power supply is rumoured by the website to push out a 99% efficiency rating from its power supply, and if that's true, 600W for this system would basically be overkill. If you still have warranty on your card, I would go through an RMA process, but I would try these steps first.

1. Try downloading the most recent drivers for your card. If the problem has persisted since you downloaded these drivers, please download some older drivers to see either of those help the situation.
2. Check if there are any vital updates that are needed in windows, and try updating those if applicable.
3. See if all connections from the motherboard to graphics card are secure and stable.
4. If any of these did not work, please try to find another PC to test the graphics card upon. Please send us what kind of results you get from using the card in a different computer.

If these steps don't work, I would highly recommend going through Gigabyte's RMA process and getting a new card before anything else happens. Good luck!

Your PSU is not a good one. It might as well be the root of your problem.
But before we need to make sure. Can you tell me what temps you are having idle and while gaming? Also, did you use DDU to install the new drivers for the card? Have you searched for virus/malware?

Didn't work. Unfortunately I don't have access to another PC to test the graphics card.

CPU temp idle is 50 ºC. When gaming it's 60-65 ºC.
As for GPU, idle temp is 60 ºC and gaming is 70-75 ºC.

I didn't use DDU when changing the cards but I used it a couple days later. And yeah I scanned for malware and I'm clean.

The temperatures seem normal. I'm starting to believe that maybe it's your graphics card is creating problems because you've already tried all of my steps which are supposedly fixed all other problems I've previously had. I would try to go through the RMA process and save yourself the hassle. Good luck!

Actually your idle temps are not normal at all. You should be under 50C even if your ambient temperature is above 35C.
Do you have fans installed in your case? If yes, are you sure they are placed to make a proper air flow?

Edit: the load temps for GPU also seem a bit high for your model. It's not a hot GPU. Make sure your GPU fans are spinning.

Didn't realize, my bad. Thought that was around average. The airflow would definitely affect the temps and such, so please verify these.

The airflow is alright. The card's fans are spinning.

I've also noticed that when I turn on the computer and I start playing, for the first 2 minutes everything runs perfectly but then it goes back to low fps.

That is most probably thermal throttling. If possible, replace the thermal paste of your GPU. Have someone experienced or a repair shop do that for you if you are unsure how to do it. There is also YouTube videos on how to do it but if you have not done that before, I would suggest not to.

The GPU is 5 days old. Do you mean the CPU?

I meant the GPU but I missed the part that is brand new. If it's 5 days old then RMA it.

Upvoting this, I already thought the best solution from the beginning was to get an RMA. Good luck!
