I want to change my video card nvidia gtx 650 ti and i want to buy GeForce GTX 1080Ti Founders Edition 11GB GDDR5X 352bit.I want to know if this video card is compatible with the rest components from my pc.I have this components:CPU -Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz;Hard drive-Samsung SSD 840 Series ATA Device 111GB and Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 ATA Device 931GB; RAM -8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz

I couldnt find much about the quality of your PSU. I recommend using a quality PSU from tier 1 or 2 (preferably 2 since 1 is overkill for your system), from this thread:

When you OC you should have a reliable PSU and especially if you have other quality and expensive hardware in your case. Since you won't be going for a 1080Ti, you have enough budget for a better PSU.

Yes it is compatible. Instead I would suggest getting gtx 1070 as your i5 will provide bottlenecking to gtx 1080ti. I have a gtx 1070 and I can highly recommend it.

If it will make you buy it , you need to know that the gtx 1070 provides 10% better performance with current nvidia drivers over the gtx 980ti. :)

One more thing , don't get suggested by the fancy LED's , get the cheapest card that you can buy. Just get it from trusted brands like EVGA , ASUS , MSI and GIGABYTE. I don't know a thing about Palit cards so I can not say that these are good or bad. All I know that Palit has the biggest coil whine issues.

What resolution do you have? Anything less than 1440p is a major overkill for 1080Ti.
You will be bottleneck a LOT. You will also need more RAM.
Also you will need a quality PSU for it. What is yours?

For your build I believe that 1060 6G, 580 8G or 1070 would be the best choice. Anything more than that will be bottlenecked.

It's always better to have a dual kit so if it's possible buy another single exactly the same make and speed. It will be 16GB which is perfect for gaming.
It doesn't matter how much you will OC your CPU, some games would be bottleneck due to only 4 cores. Try to find a stable OC that is also not too hot. What cooler do you use?

Also again, please write your make and model of your PSU.
