98% memory usage with almsot nothing open

My computer is really laggy today and i have no installed anything new. I checked taskmanager and it shows over 90% memory usage and it says that 15 GB is compressed (in use)

Here is how it looks when i open some browsers compared to how it looks like after restart.

Sorry, yes - I meant performance.

That's very strange, and given that nothing shows that it's eating any significant chunk of your RAM, I suspect there's a virus or malware at work there.
Hopefully Malwarebytes finds it.

Assuming you've got 16GB with 15GB in use? Your main culprits are using around 0.5GB, so yeah, 98% (of your remaining 1GB) with all the little tasks sounds about right.

Can you screenshot 'processes' in task manager?

Nothing in your screenshots explains the usage..... so I'd potentially look to viruses/malware.

I would run a scan with Avast, as you have it installed - alongside Malwarebytes and see what they detect.

Hey, thank you for trying to help. Im trying out malwarebytes right now. Im guessing you meant performance and not processes because the pictrues already includes it? Correct me if im wrong. Heres a screen of my performance tab: performance tab

This is the culprit 99% of the time for this particular symptom.

There is a memory leak in the Windows provided driver that is used for Killer LAN network cards. The solution is to install the manufacturer provided drivers and reboot.
