I tried to turn my computer on today after using it just the night before, no signal to the monitor. Power is plugged in, using HDMI connection to the computer. I tried 2 different monitors, I also tried a DDI connection to both monitors as well. When plugging in and out of monitor it says no connection or no signal (when plugged in). When plugging in and out of the computer, it says nothing. I swapped which port my graphics card was in and nothing changed. My friend thinks it may be my motherboard. I don't keep up with what specs I bought for my computer except on the actual computer....so I'm having a hard time remembering what I have. I know I have an AMD 3 motherboard. A Nvidia 900 series graphics card. And a Benq 2440 monitor. Can anyone help me solve this?

Every time you unplug the monitor just restart your pc. Try to use a different HDMI cable. Try to use a DVI-D cable. Stick the cable into both ports in your card and check if one of them works and the other doesn't. :)

I used 2 different HDMI cables. I also used 2 different DVI-D (sorry for mistyping earlier) as well. There is only one HDMI port on my graphics card.

Also something worth noting, my graphics cards fan does not turn on. However, it is plugged into my power supply, and the light is on.

Plug your monitor into your motherboard and download the new bios for your motherboard from another pc to the pendrive. You need to check what is your motherboard anyway. Without knowing your specific model I can not help you. :)
