Hello, as you may be able to tell from the title, I am looking for a bit of help in regards to setting up a WAP for my router. I currently have an Arris router/modem that is sitting at the other end of the house and also have an old Belkin router that is no longer in use. I have used the LAN ports on the Arris router to plug directly into the modem section of the Belkin router and successfully saw a seperate wifi connection pop up! Unfortunately, I'd like something a little more discreet than an ethernet cable that runs across the span of my house.

I soon realized that I have ethernet ports in the walls! Huzzah! (I think.) Anyways,Upon closer inspection of the ethernet ports, I was able to see that they are CAT5e (IF anyone needs to know) There is an ethernet port near the Arris router but there are two ports near the Belkin router (One port green and one port blue) I connected a LAN cable from the Arris router into the wall, then connected a cable from my room to the wall and plugged it into the Modem port on my Belkin router. Router pops up on wifi networks but upon connecting says "Secured. No Internet. I've tried plugging the Belkin router into both the green ethernet port as well as the blue ethernet port. When connected to the blue ethernet port I get a flashing orange light. When connected to the green ethernet port, I get a solid blue light. Despite these completely different signals, both seem to project no internet. Am I doing something wrong here?

You need to determine where those wall plugs go. They probably all meet in a closet or in the basement. You would need to put a switch where ever those ports converge. You should also take the wall plates off and verify that all 8 wires are connected to the Cat5E jack at each end.
