Is it bad for my GPU to run at 100% all the time?

Hi there,

I have just started bitcoin mining. Since I just started I use my GPU as I don't have an external device. When I mine my GPU goes at 100% not dropping at all which is normal for mining (Temps are ok). I am thinking of leaving my pc on 24/7 for mining. Will my gpu degrade overtime as it's on 100% all the time? The temps are good, it hasn't exceeded 80 degrees. Here are my specs, if it makes a difference.

Gigabyte H110m-S2H Motherboard
8GB of DDR4 RAM
GTX 1060 G1 Gaming (From Gigabyte)
i5 6500

Thanks :D

P.S I'm thinking of including my cpu as well with mining so is it bad for my cpu as well to be on 100% all the time?

well, theoretically, should shorten the life of the parts but the truth is that no one knows for certain how much can be, perhaps form 10 years to 5 years? some parts are rated in terms of hours, for example solid state capacitors supposedly live for 10000 hours, other components are 50000 hours before the manufacturer expects them to die

i would use and abuse and if something dies, well, i wouldn't be surprised if in 1 year you need new gpu and new thermal paste for your cpu, also a new cooler for the cpu

You'll spend more on power than you'll ever make mining. Also 224/7 bitcion mining will have an effect on the lifespan if you leave it going for 6+months.
