Okay. I've recently bought the following components for my first computer build:

- I5 7600

- Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz

- MSI Gaming Intel Skylake B150 LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard (B150 Gaming M3

- GTX 1060 SSC EVGA

-COOLER MASTER 212X

-CX500

And of course, problems occcur. First of all, whenever I try to boot up my system, the DRAM led stays on for about 5 seconds and then turns off, all the fans start spinning and the leds light up, but no video whatsoever. I've already tried changing the slots, taking it off the case and testing it and even replacing the thermal compound. Nothing works.

Second thing, I know that this board originally only supported 6th gen processors, but I also know that recently, MSI has released an uptade on which they added support for 7th gen processors, maybe my board is not updated somehow? does that have anything to do with the dram problem? Is there any way of checking on which bios version my motherboard is on?

Thanks in advance.

My friend has an old i5 6400 laying around, you think that might fix the dram problem?

Right, I'll give it a try, thanks a lot!
