Best Wifi adapter for PCI

I was wondering which wifi module you would recommend for a PCI not PCI-E slot. I only have 40mb/s internet speeds but my router is located behind a wall about 15 feet from my pc location.

Is the TRENDnet TEW-703PIL Low Profile N150 Wireless Adapter enough?

Trendnet make terrible wireless adapters.
Get an ac adapter.

Are there any cheaper alternatives, I don't need a extream wifi card just something with similar performance to the card on my dell inspiron 660s?

I'm ordering it really soon (in less than a hour), I am looking for a cheap but reasonably good card, the best card around $15.

Out of curiosity, why are you wanting to use PCI over PCIe? You have a spare PCIe slot in your motherboard, isn't that a better option? It just gives you more flexibility with your choices.

I ended up buying a high gain wifi adapter was on sale for $16, I am assuming this is better for long range a balance between $20 and $15. (Similar to the PCIe TP-Link unit but has higher gain.) Thx for all the help on choosing a wifi module.

Not a bad card, but it doesn't support dual band like the TP Link USB adapter I posted.
