Ok so after doing some bench marks. it's telling me my m.2 drive is under performing compared to people with the exact same ssd.

Heres a screenshot of what i mean. Don't mind the the gpu part because i fixed that.

But the ssd is the only thing that seems to be not as fast as on paper.

Running windows 10. ryzen 1700. Motherboard is x370 sli plus.

Would ram speeds be the issue?

Thanks.

Update; This windows install is not a fresh one so that could be the issue.
Would 32gbs of ram be taking the pcie lanes and making it run at a slower speed??????

I wouldn't really lend much credence to 3rd party benchmarking tools like that. It's just a SATA SSD in M.2 form factor, so it's not using any PCIe lanes, it's just talking to the SATA controller.
Just FYI that your RAM and CPU are connected together over an entirely different interface, so there's no impact on PCIe lanes from RAM, and vice-versa.

Download the Crucial Storage Executive and check out everything there. You can use that to update the drive's firmware if there is a newer version available. That might help.
There's a chance the particular test used by that benchmark runs better on an Intel SATA controller than AMD's. I don't know to be honest. But in any case, I would trust Crucial's own software to tell you if there's a problem.
