Gaming or File storage?

Hello guys!I have this old WD Caviar SE SATA 7200rpm 300 MB/s 160 GB with 8MB cache.
The question is, can i use it for gaming purpose?or it just can be use for file storage?

You can use it for whatever you like.

It's going to be significantly slower than a modern harddrive (let alone an SSD), so if you use it for games you can expect things like game loading and level loading to be a bit slower. It's also an old HDD, so I wouldn't be trusting it with any vaguely important data (but any data you care about should be backed up anyway, no matter how expensive your HDDs are).

But other than that, it's a 160GB HDD. As long as you're prepared to be a little patient with it, it will do anything any other hard drive will do... other than store more than 160GB of data.

It is old and small. I wouldn't put the only copy of anything critical on it.

I take this hdd at my office because it been kept for a long time, and no use it.so i decided to take it home.Just wanna make sure if it still reliable to use it for gaming.
