I'm a graphic designer looking for quite a beefy editing PC that can deal with programs like Photoshop, Illustator, Cinema 4D etc. I currently have a gaming PC that is worth £1100-1200 and that will be most of my fuding once sold.

Current PC: I5-4690K, GTX970, 16GB 1600.

I want to start fresh because I feel I can get more for my money especially with the new Intel processors. I understand a high end graphics card is not necessary with these programs as its not rendering realtime textures like it would in games. Preferably looking to get a I7 CPU and 32 GB RAM as the main components.

Benchmarks prove there is very little difference between the 4th Gen (you have) and the 7th Gen (Current)

Alternatively you could upgrade to the new Core i9 Processors. Or even an i7 might be a worthy upgrade.

But I wouldn't upgrade if I was you.
