Hi guys,

I am thinking about upgrading my MSI Geforce GTX 970 GAMING 4G to either an MSI Geforce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G or MSI Geforce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G and I wonder whether my be quiet! 500 Watts PSU will be able to handle either of the cards?

Remaining setup:
CPU: Intel i7-7700k
MB: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING
CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen 3 Rev.B
Case fans: 3x 120mm be quiet! (Wings 2), 1x 140mm be quiet!
Harddrives: 2x SSDs and 1 HDD

Solution
get the 550w instead to give your pc some breathing room, also get the one with at least 80+ bronze certificate. this wattage also the perfect choice to go if u really decided to buy a 1080 since its recommended PSU is 520w

500w is already enough with breathing room. This PC will be fine even on a high quality 400w unit.
