Dear friends, I have encountered a problem that I cannot fix. Please give me a hand!!
So I had a faulty mobo/processor and I decided to change my processor because my mobo constantly showed the CPU led on red. When the new processor game, FX 8370 - the same thing happened so i figure it might be my motherboard and i ordered a new one as well. So I have a m5a97 R2.0 paired with fx 8370. I seated everything and it wouldn't post to bios at all. The beep code goes like 1 long beep, 4 short ones, a pause, then a short one. Then it stops beeping. I have tried swapping out processors, swapping out rams from a working computer, swapping out graphic cards, and taking out the cmos battery. I have also tried changing cpu fans however that didnt work as well.. please advise.

Could it be the new processor? Because when I tried to turn on my computer when I still had my old mobo, the cpu led was still on as well. I don't see a cpu led on this mobo.

I'm so sorry guys I figured out the problem. CPU fan error. My cpu fan is spinning however the motherboard doesn't detects it. It was like this with the previous motherboard as well.

I've checked online for beep codes for your Asus motherboard, and I found this:
ATqc1.png

So you stated that there was one beep, followed by 4 more? That = Hardware failure.

Go through this checklist and ensure you have everything in order......"No POST", "system won't boot", and "no video output" troubleshooting checklist

Thank you everyone for your advice! My computer is working perfectly now although there are some other problems. I will be bringing this up in another thread!
