My Intel I7 processor is reaching extreme temperatures for doing simple things as just playing a game, and if I am recording or rendering there is a high chance of it just shutting off my computer.
I did have the NZXT X42 Watercooler which was still leading my PC to overheat so therefore upgraded to the X62 yet it still manages to overheat... I don't know what to do, I have reseated the cooler plenty of times along with new thermal paste each time. I have ensured that the standoff and all are tight and secure. the normal shut off temp for my PC is around 90degrees Celsius.

I don't know if this means anything but my Kraken keeps disappearing off the CAM software, and to get it back I have to reinstall the entire program. (I have an Asus motherboard)|

Is it something I am doing wrong or do I just get a better product??

Watercooling is nice but still just as dependent on airflow as an aircooler is.
Make sure all fans are working
Make sure the hot air has a way to exhaust into the room and not circulate back into the case.
Make sure the case & intake fans have access to fresh cool room air.

Can you describe how you have things setup in your case for cooling, where & how the watercooler is mounted (ex:mounted at rear with fans blowing out )

Thanks.

The radiator for the water cooler is on the top of my case which is the NZXT H440, all fans are indeed working, buuttttt if ye take a look at the H440 case; i have three fans at the front pulling air in, the two fans on the water cooler which is also pulling air in, but only 1 fan extracting on the back.
idk if this is a problem :3

my room strangely seems to get hot sometimes which probably don't make the situation any better :p ty for the help btw :D
