Is CPU water cooling really worth the money? I've seen a lot around $70 per cooling kit.

Can anyone tell me the pros and cons with the water cooling versus the traditional CPU spinning fan?

..or can I tell the difference base on performance?

Solution
Well if you are spending $70 for a kit, you are getting a 120mm fan, and isn't going to do much work on a hot CPU. Speaking of that, it also depends on what kind of CPU you are trying to overclock.

However, you may don't want a AIO cooler, because if the pump goes out, the whole thing needs to be replaced. Not to mention, an AIO could have a leak. Then you have to deal with the water getting too hot. With air cooler, if the fan goes out, that's a cheap fix. There are so many factors goes in to play, what will you be doing, how high is your overclock, what case you have, etc.

At the end of the day, if you are spending under $100, get an air cooler. You will get similar temps, and still be able to replace the fan if needed. If you TRULY...

I guess I am an hypocrite because I went with that route, but that's because I enjoy NZXT products. But if you are unsure, air cooling is your bet bet.
