I know it's pretty basic configuration, but with this
Asus H61M-K socket 1155
CPU core i3 2120 3.30 GHz
Ram 6/8gb ddr3
GeForce GTX 1050 Palit StormX 2GB
I saw running games 2016/prior 2016 pretty well (e.g The Witcher 3/Overwatch)....could it be a thing?

I've noticed that more & more newer games are requiring a minimum of a 4th gen i5 processor . For instance, Metal Gear: Phantom Pain(which is a few years old now) requires a minimum of an i5-4460.
