Hi Community I will, in the not so near future, build my first PC. I do not know what to look out for when building a PC(e.g. what to look for for compatibility or what to look for in physical dimensions).

Here is my info:
Approximate Purchase Date: Within 7-8 months I still am not sure when I'm buying it but at least before December 2017
Budget Range: €1200,- Excluding shipping costs

System Usage from Most to Least Important: (Heavy) Gaming, I want to play current games(PUBG,Overwatch,Horizon Zero Dawn etc.) with at least 60 fps on medium to high/ultra settings(Ultra is probably a long shot), A lot of webbrowsing and schoolwork(i.e. Word, Excel), I'm going to study AI upcoming schoolyear, so programming too(not sure if I need certain specs for programming), Watching movies and Youtube, picture/video editing(Definitely not priority but just going to mention it, upgrading parts will almost certainly happen in the future).
Are you buying a monitor: Yes
Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Location: Groningen, The Netherlands, Help from all around the world will appreciated (My budget in US dollars is approx $950-1100).

Parts Preferences: Both Ryzen and Intel CPUs would be fine, Nvidia GPU

Overclocking: Maybe in the future

SLI or Crossfire: I have no clue what this means

Your Monitor Resolution: Would like to get 1920x1800, It is possible that I want to upgrade to greater resolutionspossibility to upgrade to 4k in the future

Additional Comments: Need a window case and pc needs to be quiet(I hate noise), would like a Boot-up SSD and 1-2 TB HDD if it is possible within the budget, if not an HDD (min. 1TB) will be fine, I want to emphasize the priority Gaming Performance has to me.

My build attempt:
I already attempted to create my own build without any help but I have no idea if the builds is any good, and if there are any compatibility/clearance issues.

CPU: Intel - Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair - H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Storage: Kingston - SSDNow UV400 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GAMING Video Card
Case: be quiet! - Pure Base 600 w/Window (Black/Orange) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair - CSM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (Not sure what Wattage I should get)
OS: Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
Monitor: LG - 24M47VQ 24.0" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor

I am not sure If the parts I picked are good value for the money and if there are any clearance or compatibility issues.

If I need to give additional information or missed something I'll gladly let you know, just let me know.
All help will be appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
MattELW

Solution
I would probably recommend a Ryzen R5 1600, for your build. Also, you do not need that water cooler. Kingston SSD's are not all that great, and 120gb is not very useful. The RX 580 8gb is faster, and less expensive, than a 1060 6gb.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor (€220.38 @ Mindfactory)
Motherboard: MSI - B350M GAMING PRO Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (€85.64 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2800 Memory (€71.69 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Storage: ADATA - Premier SP550 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€81.03 @ Amazon Deutschland)

Solution
honestly, if you're buying around Christmas, it's best to ask again in November as prices and releases can change many things.

the build above is a nice guideline for now, as said, by the time of Christmas some choices need to be revisited
Intel will release new CPUs in late summer/autmn, there will be new GPUs, SSD prices will change and so on

I had not really thought about price changes and new releases myself :chaudar:, so thank you for the tip!

Yeah. It's best to pop back in when you got the money lined up and are about to order.
As you can see build-threads are usually answered very quickly.
Also it's good to use it as a guideline and not written law.
For example there is the Rx580 Pulse suggested, if you now find a Rx580 that's significantly cheaper at your local store it's wise to come back and just ask again
Most people around, especially the regulars, a really nice and helpful ;)

Justification:
CPU: 6 cores, 12 threads, this is a better multithreader then it i5 counterpart on the intel side, while have a slightly lower IPC. A good balance between single core performance and more cores.

Motherboard: while I would have loved to go for something with slightly better looks, we have a budget, so this is the cheapest overclocking motherboard I could find.

RAM: its decently fast, looks nice and, most importantly, its cheap.

Storage:
My favourite combo of a 250gb ssd and a 2tb HDD
SSD:
Western digital just started making SSD's, and they're very reliable, acceptably fast and decently cheap.
HDD:
Seagate makes reliable and fast Hard drives, and to me 2tb has always seemed to be far better value than just one, as it is only very slightly more expensive.

Graphics Card: this is a fairly highly clocked gtx 1060 6gb, which is nice and cheap and doesn't look half bad

Case: Not the flashiest case ever, the 100R strikes a good balance between airflow, cost and acoustics.

Power Supply: the G2 line from EVGA is fantastic value in terms of their terrific reliability and relatively low cost.

OS: Windows 10. Simple as that.

Monitor: An ultrawide IPS 75Hz monitor, this panel from LG is really, really good value!

I didn't get a CPU cooler because the Ryzen stock cooler is, in fact, really good.

Hopefully this helps, if you have any questions just ask!

your build and thoughts are all valid -- if you live in the US
in Europe/Germany EVGA PSUs are usually overpriced. you can currently get the superior Seasonic Prime Gold for 4€ additionally, a XFX XTR is even a bit cheaper, a Seasonic G is a lot cheaper and the slightly better Corsair RMx costs the same.
