Ok, I have a decently fast internet connection at my house which i dont really need. I had the idea to get a wifi dish (Long Range) to my school about 0.3 -0.5 miles from my house. At first it was just for myself but i decided that i could most likely sell it for 10p a day (I'm in the UK) What do you all think of my idea? good bad? also i think all i should need would be this if i am correct?

Very, very bad idea.

1. Your residential account almost certainly prohibits this
2. 0.5 mile away will require significant hardware
3. You (your parents?) will be on the hook for whatever illegal crap your 'clients' download.

Just to be more specific on the hardware aspect of this as far as general concept:

With AM/FM radio you can just throw up a big powerfull antenna and blast the signal out because the desitnation only needs to receive.
With WiFi though, that is not the case. WiFi requires 2 way communication so while you could put a directional antenna on your house and "blast" signal to the destination devices, those devices dont have the power/range to send it back.
Its like guy A has a microphone PA system hooked up to 6 huge speakers, and guy B is simply trying to yell back to guy A 6 blocks away.....obviously not going to work well.
