Hello,

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card to something that can play more current games at 1080p 60fps (as that's all my monitor will allow)

My setup is as follows:
Windows 10 Home
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 3.50GHz
8GB RAM
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 G1 Gaming Super Over Clock 2GB

Any other upgrade recommendations are welcome also.

A 960 is roughly at 1050 Ti level of performance, with 2gb vram instead of 4gb. So you can think of yourself as upgrading from a 1050 Ti. That being the case, I'd rule out the 470/570 and the 1060 3gb. These are upgrades, no doubt about that, but they aren't big enough in my opinion. For the money spent, you should go with the 1060 6gb, or 480/580 4gb at minimum.

Hello! I personally would recommend an rx 470/570 on the amd side, and a 10603gb/6gb on the green team.
I personally use the sapphire rx 470 in my gaming pc, and Ive only found one game that I cant max out at 1080p
The 570, being the "big brother of the 470", can easily manage everything youd want and last longer than the 470.

Now if youre considering the 1060, for all intensive purposes, the 1060 is NVidia's cure-all for 1080 gaming at max settings.

The tiny drop in Cuba cores between a 3gb and a 6gb 1060 I should too small to make a major difference. The 570 is actually stronger than a 480, and the 470 over locked out of the box pc could keep on level with a factory 480. They could get a 580 or 480, but it probably wouldn't be worth the money

rx 580 or gtx 1060 6gb

That's what they said about my R9 290X when I bought it. And no, it's not overkill, it's nice being able to turn up the settings and enjoy a steady 60fps. The RX 580/GTX 1060 6GB would also by my suggestion.
