So I'm building a node 202 mini itx form factor and at the final stage of planing
main use: gaming, unity 3d develop, entry level music production
here's the stuff I've already got:
cpu: i5 6600k
case: node 202
fan: Scythe Big Shuriken rev 2
GPU: gtx 750ti

Stuff I haven't got but thinking of getting
ram: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) ddr4 2133 ($82)
Storage: samsung 850 evo 500gb ($229)
Mobo: haven't decided, open to suggestions (which Z m-itx board is the best for its price)?
Current mobo sales: Gigabite Z270N ($186)
MSI Z270I GAMING PRO CARBON ($210)
ASRock Z270M-ITX ($165)

Please help out and suggest which of the components (that I haven't got) should I buy, especially the motherboards. Also please point out any compatibility issues if there exists one. Open to any suggestions

is it that the gpu will bottleneck the heck out of the cpu? I already own the gpu for 4 years and will prolly replace with a gtx 1060 in the summer, cpu has been shipped

budget $1400, after cpu, case, cpu cooler(plus tax), is $880
so $880 for storage, mobo, and ram, and perhaps gpu, main question tho is which mobo would be best for slight OC

Get this.

Gotta ask, why the 5400 rpm drive?

he probably thought that it is way cheaper than a ssd and so i can get a gtx1080 instead with a hdd, unfortunately in Canada with our shitty currency right now everything is like 40% more expensive than the US so that still wouldn't be possible.

It's a firecuda Hyrid drive, not a standard HDD. ;)
Here's the updated CAD build @OP.
You'll need to save a bit more, and a blower style cooler would be most suitable.
