Recording to 256GB flash drive at 30Hz--is it too slow?

I bought a SanDisk 256 GB flash drive to use with my iView 3500-STBII. The iView has PVR so I record OTA broadcasts frequently, and I needed more space than the 128 GB SanDisk flash drive I had been using. The recordings on the new 256 GB drive are choppy, with lots of tiling [not sure if that's the correct term]. I notice the 256 GB drive has a frame rate of 30 Hz and scans at 1920 x 1080, while the 128 GB is 60 Hz, 1920 x 1080. Can anyone tell me what I should do--exchange the 256 GB drive for one [or two] 128 GB drive? I don't know much about this stuff. Thanks!

The drive is not 30 Hz, it's the recording that you saved on that drive. The drive size does not matter here, it's how it was recorded that does. Seems whatever you recorded and how is the issue. It may also be that the new drive is slower than the 128 GB one but the recording being 30 vs 60 is not because of the drive, unless the recorder automatically lowered settings to match a lower speed of the drive.

No other variables changed except the size of the flash drive used to record. I formatted both disks on the iView before recording on them. There is no way to change the recording settings of the iView recorder. I taped the same shows in the same way as before.
If anyone who actually has something useful to say would chime in, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
