So I recently bought a Corsair K70 RGB. I previously had another corsair keyboard with dual USB plugs. I have always plugged both usb into USB 3.0 ports. I am wondering if this is fine or will it damage the keyboard? According to other posts and the corsair website, you are to plug the keyboard into one usb 3.0 connector or two usb 2.0 connectors. Will it affect they keyboard if I plug both into a USB 3.0 connector? I do not know much about USB ports.

You'll be fine. I got a Corsair Vengeance K70 and a Corsair K95 RGB Platinum (in separate PCs of course). Both keyboards are plugged in 2x USB 3.0 ports at the rear panel. No issues whatsoever. I've been using the K70 since 2015, while the K95 just recently.

Though Corsair instructs that you can plug the keyboard either using 1) a single USB3.0 port (plug the one with the keyboard icon), *or* 2) using two USB2.0 ports, some users have reported issues with both. The ones using their keyboards plugged in a single USB3.0 port had issues when detecting another device in the keyboard's USB pass-thru (if your keyboard has one), though, the keyboard itself works. Based on my experience, plugging the keyboard to two USB3.0 ports is safe. Though I have also plugged the keyboard on two USB2.0 ports, at one point in time, but had no issues as well. No performance difference between USB3.0 and USB2.0 as far as the keyboard is concerned.

Okay, thanks a lot for the information! Will keep it in both USB 3.0 ports.
