What mobo should i get

I have these for my build. I plan to game world of warcraft, diablo 3, cs:go, battlefield 3. 16hrs a day (non stop minimum)

amd fx 8350 (cpu)
Radeon rx 480 8gb (gpu)
Rosewill blackhawk ultra (tower)

I dont plan on massive overclocking. I'll just stay at 4.0ghz or 4.2 so wont be watercooled. Im pretty sure i need a 990chipset mobo. I went thru 3 sabertooth 990fx r2.0 mobo (imo) they dont work out the box.

This is my first pc build and im not worried about saving money. Willing to spend 300.00$ on mobo.

I do plan in streaming on twitch.

You may have been unlucky to get a very early one(s) with old BIOS version, According to QVL list https://www.asus.com/rs/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_990FX_R20/HelpDesk_CPU/ it should work with BIOS V1006
FX-8300(FD8300WMW8KHK,3.2GHz,8C,95W,rev.C0,AM3+) 1006
I had good experience with GA-990XA-UD3 (rev. 1.1) which worked with all FX processors since first BIOS version.

I'll throw a wrench at you.... If the parts you listed are all you have.... Change plans.

Go after a Ryzen 1600 or 1600x and an x370 motherboard. The FX series are a dead end and you'll soon be wishing you had gone with AM4 and you'll spend far more money for no good reason. I upgraded from an AM3+ 6350 on a Sabertooth r1.0... great combo for me for over six years.

I got an ASRock Taichi, G. Skill Flare-X 3200 RAM and the 1600x. About $635 USD. Keep your GPU and case, get a strong/highly rated PSU and you're good to go for under $800 easily, maybe less than $750. Sell your 8350 if you can.

That's my advice. Better to go 'future' than old tech that you'll only struggle to keep cool and be at a disadvantage in many ways compared to the new AM4 platform.

CountMike is correct. But if money is not an issue in this build, I would get the best board you can afford and currently the Taichi and Crosshair are #1 and #2 depending on who you're asking and I'm saying "Taichi" :) Either should be a solid foundation for the next 3-5 years and will be ready for the Ryzen-2 class CPUs next year and beyond. It depends on the kind of consumer you are... if you want the best frequently or if you want the best 'right now' for a couple years while upgrading parts as you go/they come to market.

I was a hardcore gamer pre 2011 into mlg, but in 2012 i saved a deputies life and took a bullet in the shoulder. Tore my rotator cuff 100%, part of the bullet broke off and bounced down my arm and ended up in my hand. So I'll just be gaming, but not on a competitive level. Bad part about it. It was my mouse hand. I still got nerve damage in my hand and arm. Shoulder is reconstructed. I dont really plan on upgrading to am4 ddr4 or anything like that. 8core is good for me. I can keep the temp down around 10c.

One last thing. If the 8350 i have was pulled out of a sabertooth 990fx r2.0 and was overcclocked at 4.5ghz. Does that cpu sttay 4.5ghz if i put it in another motherboard? Or does it go back to 4.0ghz once its placed into a new and different mobo?
