A Core 2 Duo is pretty old and won't be able to support more than a Nvidia GT 1030 or AMD RX 550 properly, better cards will just be slowed down by your low-end CPU and RAM.

If you don't expect to be able to upgrade to a more modern CPU + Mainboard + RAM combination soon, get one of the cards mentioned above. If you believe you might be able to upgrade those soon, then I'd go for a Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti or AMD RX 570.

For GT 1030 and RX 550 it doesn't really matter which version you choose, they are pure budget cards after all and won't have many differences. Just make sure it fits into your case and maybe update your BIOS to make sure the new graphics card will be recognized.
