hey guys.
yesterday I got a cooler master masterair 4 as a backup air cooler for my currently installed h100i which has been acting weird lately. the masterair 4 was the only one available locally and can fit my motherboard and case.
I don't know if I'm being anal about this but it seems that there are alot of scratches and dents on the heatsink base, the base itself not the contact between the cpu and the heatsink. it doesn't seem that it's going to be effecting the performance but when buying something new one is expected a flawless product. should I go back to the store and ask for another one? or are all the hyberx masterair finish will have the same scratches and scuffs due to manufacturing?
here are the pics.

The cosmetic condition of such assembled parts depends a lot on the plant in which it was manufactured. On lower $ assemblies not a lot of QA goes into the product and the emphasis is on production, production, and productions (even though labor costs are...
From the pictures I don't see any problems. The scratches/marks/dents may be due to fixturing during the assembly process.

Usually, after all components are properly fixtured and assembled, the assembly is placed in the final fixture for a "skin cut" of the base that mates with the CPU.

Everything looks fine!

@ubrales thanks for the reply. I just find it strange since this isn't my 1st air cooler, I've had CM V10, CM X6 and Nuctua NH-d14. non had that amount of scuffs and scratches on their base. but then again they all didn't have the same kinda direct copper pipes design.
it would be convenient to know if someone else received a new cooler in this condition. I can still go back to the store and return it. but don't think he'll replace it or not, or if it's even worth the hassle

I understand your concern. To alleviate your valid concern, go to the store you bought the item from and request to look at an identical assembly. You may find similar marks and dents on the product that they have in stock.

Ok so I'm on my way back from the store. the guy was nice enough to replace it for me. even though he stressed on the fact that it won't effect performance.
the new one is as dented and scratched as the old one. perhaps a smoother cpu contact but nothing more. he just replaced the heatsink and gave me a new one.
I guess u guys are right it seems I'm just spoiled with high end coolers to have been bothered by this lol. I'll post pics of the new one, to serve as reference for others who might ask about the same question in the future.
