GTX680 to 1070

Thinking of upgrading my computer, from a GTX 680 to a 1070 just wondering if I need to upgrade anything to be able to use the 1070 my specs are a Chillblast built pc.I play alot of games and the 680 seems to be struggling a bit now Thanks for any replies.

Cooler Master CM-690 II Lite Dominator Case
Intel Core i7 3770K Processor Overclocked to up to 4.6GHz
Noctua NH-D14 Ultimate Performance Quiet CPU Cooler
Asus P8Z77-V Motherboard
16GB Corsair PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3 Memory (2 x 8GB sticks)
Chillblast NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2048MB Graphics Card
Corsair Ultra Low Noise 600W PSU
ASUS VG248QE 24 inch monitor

well i would not buy a 1080 on that system, since your i7 is really good but not for many years ahead now. i would stick on a 1070 or even 1060 or rx480 and plan a future upgrade of your system. nowadays ddr4 ram and kaby/ryzen processors can really unleash the potential of newer video cards

Thanks for you reply sorry I was late in replying been ill,Im glad I dont need to upgrade anything and I will go ahead and buy the gtx 1070 in a couple of days.Any guidance on whats the best one to get or are they all about the same.Thanks again for quick reply.

Hi just wondering I still haven't bought the 1070 yet checking prices they are about £450 would it be better to get something like a EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING or similar as its only an extra £50-£60.Also would my system be ok for a 1080 card.

Ok thanks for your reply I will get the 1070 then I will probably upgrade the computer fully in about 3 years time when the 1070 starts to drop in performance I didnt feel like a full upgrade atm.
