So as title says I got problems after windows creators update. When I play games like GTA V, CSGO or Minecraft after some time or instantly after game is loaded Monitor loses signal but sound is playing for some time and then It dissapears, in keyboard keys like caps lock light does not respond when I click caps lock. And I need to hold pc's power off button to force shutdown because with reset button nothing happens!
What I have tried:

  • I tried many amd driver versions.(Newest, some old, and some recommend drivers from other users) and I used DDU after trying each version
In windows settings reinstall only windows and keep personal files
In radeon settings I have tried many settings that fixed problems for other users like Enable gpu scaling etc
Now I clean installed windows 1607 build (Anniversary Update) but problem still is there
I tried FurMark gpu stresser and there was no problems, all was working fine. In furmark config I set x8 anti aliasing, 4k resolution and With these settings It loaded gpu at 100% and no crashes at all. And temperature max was 68C. I think It is normal temperature.
What I noticed:

  • My monitor resolution is 1280x1024 and GTA V was running at 1280x768 but when I changed to 1280x1024 resolution, monitor lost signal and sound was playing for a little time.
Games menu are working without crashes.
Fullscreen or windowed mode does not change anything and It will crash anyway
Pc specs:

  • Psu: Chieftec 700w I-arena series(1 month old)
Video card: Msi rx 460 4gb Oc
    CPU; amd fx 6300
Ram: 4x2 gb Kingston hyperx 1866mhz but running at 1600mhz
    Motherboard: Asrock pro3 970 r2.0

Hi, thank you for answering but I think It is not a psu problem because I run gpu stress test for a long time and there wasnt any problems but after playing Gta V monitor will loose signal in 1 minute or instantly. I think It is software related problem because problems started instantly after creators update!

Hey Bokspro,
I happen to be in the same situation. Although my luck might be a little worse. I installed rx 460 on the very boot up after the Creators Update. Thought I was sold a faulty card. I've restored to the Anniversary edition, changed to the second PC-E slot and let windows update the driver for me.
Fingers crossed it's stable, but haven't tried anything yet. Kinda scared too. I'll let you know how I go. Pretty sure it's combination of that update and this card. Maybe. lol. :p

Cool, hopefully yours gets to stability. My system is quite old:

P5E WS PRO mobo
Core 2 quad Q9300 2.5 cpu
8g DDR2 ram
PSU Antec NeoPower 550

I was hoping to join some friends playing Elder Scrolls Online. Since those changes I made, it seems stable. I also downloaded AMD Afterburner to monitor it, and maybe make changed to the voltage, but so far it might not be necessary.

Good luck.

Damn, sorry to hear dude. Mine might be back too. Whole system freezes, no loss of vision at the freeze though. Though it might be my cpu this time. Might be time for a new computer for me. :(

Ok, might have found the answer:
https://community.amd.com/thread/204484
In this thread, about half way through someone says they fixed it by going into the Radeon Settings, go the Global settings in the gaming section, then to Global Wattman, in those settings reduce the Frequency to -20% and the Power to -20% and click apply. I only changed those two things and it seems to have fixed it, something about the card drawing too much power from the motherboard.

Played ESO for like 3 hours on high settings and it was fine. Hope that works for you too. :)
