So I do web development and I also like to game. Web development is easiest for me on my Mac, while gaming (for obvious reasons) is easiest on my Windows computer. I spend some extra money on a nice keyboard and mouse, but every time I want to use them on my Mac, I have to reach behind my desktop computer, pull them out, and plug them into my Mac.

So... Is there a "controlled splitter" I can buy? It's kinda like how people controlled input on old, old televisions in a sense. Picture a USB expansion/splitter, but in the back connected to two different computers. Flip a switch, sends out data to Windows computer. Flip it the other way, sends out the other way. You get it.

Anybody heard of such a contraption?

Thanks,

What you're looking for is a KVM device.
Keyboard/Video/Mouse.

Put the letters KVM into amazon or newegg, and dozens of items return, from $15 to $300.
