Does types of DDR4 Ram matter?

No it doesnt matter, DDR4 is DDR4 at the end of the day, your are better at the moment getting something off the QVL but I find G.Skill generally works, it seems to be Corsair RAM thats having all of the problems.

There is only 1 brand and model that is optimised...

There is only 1 brand and model that is optimised for AM4 at the moment and thats G.Skill FlareX, im using G.Skill trident Z 3200mhz RGB kit on my AM4 platform, not on my boards QVL and also Intel optimised, but its just the XMP profiles that are Intel optimised.
