I just installed Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon on my computer and tried to run it; I noticed that my GPU temp spiked straight to 83 and stayed put, while the usage % hit 99 and wouldn't drop. The GPU started throttling; I watched the core clock drop from 1200ish all the way to 600ish before the game finished closing out, and the temp and usage didn't drop at all. I've played Far Cry 3 on this same setup with no issues.

My current setup:

Further info: I am having some minor heat issues with the case despite it being ungodly huge and having room for an insane number of fans; the case just isn't meant for air cooling, and my watercooler doesn't work with this case. That said, only a few of my games tend to peg my GPU at full temp, and even then they aren't using beyond 50% of its capability and it's not throttling much if at all; those few games are my newest and heaviest games, like War Thunder and Fallout 4.

The watercooler isn't listed, as I'm not currently using it; it's a Deepcool GamerStorm Captain 240. The water block is this awesome steampunk-styled thing that lights up like an Iron Man-style turbine, but it's a giant cube, and The Tower only has relatively flat slots for passing the hoses through. I'm planning on getting a Thermaltake Water 3.0 Riing RGB 360 watercooler soon, but for now I'm stuck on the stock FX-8370 heatsink (not even Wraith, thing sounds like a turbine).

Update: Just tried Far Cry 3 standard, and what do you know, same issue. So it's not isolated just to Blood Dragon.

WONDERFUL. Why does Ubisuck even bother? They make epic games, and then completely fail to actually support them when things go wrong.
