Greetings,

Which CPU and GPU temperature monitoring software do you guys recommend? And if there's any other monitoring software you guys recommend me getting. I'm building a new system soon and I want to monitor the temps to make sure the system is running good. Here is my system specs:

Case: Corsair Carbide 400C White
Motherboard: Asus Z270-A
CPU: Core i-5 7600k
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070
PSU: EVGA Supernova G3 750 PSU
CPU Air Cooler: Deepcool Assassin 2
Memory: 16GB (x2 8GB Stick) Corsair Vengence LPX
SSD: Kingston V300 240GB

Thank in advance for the help!

EDIT: Also what is a good/safe temperature for my CPU and GPU when I'm playing a game on full load and when I'm just watching streams and youtube videos? Want to make sure I know when the system is too hot

Solution
i use gpuz for graphics temperature

and coretemp for the cpu temperature

the gpu isnt that likely to get too hot as gtx1070 runs relatively cool--unless its a reference card then will run hotter--ie not aftermarket cooler on it

Does monitors both CPU and GPU temps? So CPU-Z is not really used anymore? I remember using that a long time ago. Also edited the original post and added a new question. Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply @Supahos @mcnumpty23

I'm just looking for a good dependable program. @Supahos, I think I'll just use the BIOS to control the AWM fans that I have. Is there a more basic program you could recommend me that is dependable? And @mcnumpty23 Is there any other temp monitoring software I need? Or is monitoring my CPU and GPU all I need to do?

I use Speccy

and HwMonitor

for confirmation. When gaming I use MSI Afterburner

. It can show more than what's shown but those resources are the only ones I choose to monitor. I also use MSI AB to change my GFX Card's fan curve and can use it to OC my GPU and it's capable of more than that.
