I have an issue with a GPU that I bought for 3 weeks ago. The PC has been running fine to now.
When I start the PC, the GPU starts and run 1-2 seconds, then both fans stop. And i get no video signal not even to see bios or anything. The led on the card is glowing and seems fine. It supposed to indicate when the 6-pin cable is connected i guess. All the other components run fine.
The build:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4990k
PSU: Corsair CX 750W PSU
GPU: ASUS Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3 rams
Motherboard: MSI Z97- G43
Drives: Samsung 250GB ssd, kingston 120SSD, WD 1TB hdd.
I have been trying different PCI-E slots. Does not work
Tried to use the HDMI in the integrated, I do not get signal then either.
When writing this, I remembered that my old GPU was still here at my dorm, and it tested it. and it worked.
The old GPU: AMD radeon 290.
So my guess is either my GTX1060 card does not get enough power from the PSU, though i believe it should be enough. I may be wrong^^. Or that my Nvidia GPU is at fault/defect, and i need to go through warranty hell T_T. I figured I ask here first anyway, since i was hoping it was just a small thing, I could fix.
Notice: I do not have a pc close or know anyone close I can ask for testing the GPU in another build.
Cheers for taking your time to read^^
