EVGA Geforce GTX 1060 not recognized by my computer!

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I'm running all out of ideas, and I REALLY don't want to have wasted almost $300 on something that won't work. Anyway, I recently decided to switch from my old AMD graphics card to a new Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, but I've been having some issues. I used DDU to remove the old AMD drivers, swapped cards, and installed the recommended drivers from the Nvidia site, but it seems like the computer won't recognize the card.

Furthermore, the Device Manager says that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)", and often when I try to update the drivers, the installer says that the graphics driver "could not find compatible graphics hardware," even though the graphics card is correctly placed in the PCI-e slot #1 and is connected to the power supply via 6-pin connector and to my monitor via DVI.

As of right now, I've tried many different methods online to try and fix this, such as using DDU to remove the drivers and installing new ones, removing the graphics card and reinstalling it, etc., and none seem to work. I believe that my parts are compatible, too, since pcpartpicker states that my motherboard and graphics card are compatible and I haven't been able to find and incompatibilities when reading through their respective manuals. Now I'm stuck with a fuzzy, low-resolution screen and a $300 brick that doesn't work. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Your card is basically DOA. Refund it immediately.

I had a 970 with fans that I thought didn't work. RMA'd it to EVGA. They returned it in the same condition you are describing now.

Unless you are an electrical engineer and understand how gpu circuitry works, you aren't fixing that card.

I don't think this is it, or at least it's extremely unlikely, as I just received a replacement part directly from EVGA, connected it to the pc, and installed the drivers, and the completely fresh, new card is doing the exact same thing. I ordered straight from them and it was completely unopened, so I find it unlikely that two cards in a row would both be broken straight out of the box. There must be some other issue that I can't find a solution to, and any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED!
