Hi all,

I purchased parts and assembled my own gaming PC a month ago. Everything was fine until two days ago, where the PC went to sleep after being inactive and then I tried to wake it up but the screen just stayed black. I turned it off and on at the power button to find that my graphics card had "error code 43". I searched the internet to find solutions to resolve the issue and I have done the following:

Deleted the GPU drivers and installed the most recent one and previous versions.

Reinstalled windows 10.

Physically Reinstall the GPU.

None of these have worked and I am starting to get worried that the GPU is broken.

My main PC parts are:

CPU - Ryzen 5 1600
GPU - MSI GTX 1060 6GB
Motherboard - MSI b350 tomahawk

I am not really a computer person so there is something confusing me. Apparently my CPU doesn't have an integrated GPU, if that was true, then how am I able to see a picture on my monitor?

Any help to fix this error code would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.

My brother was able to wipe the SSD from the BIOS screen, which allowed me to reinstall Windows 10 and all the drivers again. This resolved the black screen issue. However, the error code 43 was still showing for the GPU and whenever I tried to update the drivers the black screen issue would arise again.
