hello everyone.
two days ago I bought a used i5 3470 cpu. The issue is that its temp reach out 105c under any load, never goes down.
I tried my older CPU i3 2120, and the same issue persist.90 -100c temp.
so there are two different CPUs shows same temp on the same computer. I have no clue what could be the issue except one:
4 months ago my older PSU was shut down due to me plugged it accidentally on 220v outlet while it was switched on 110v. So I changed the PSU but left the motherboard.
Now I am thinking that may be the motherboard is somehow damaged and overheating the CPUs, I am not sure, but what other reason could be ?
I am checking the CPU temp through BIOS.
the fan is working, thermal paste replaced every now and then .. I am confused.
thank you so much in advance!
