Hello this is a new PC build i'm panning to do in about 2 months time its my first build and so would welcome any suggestions that you might have this price also includes a 1440p monitor as the list says.

Case=NZXT S340

GPU=GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070

Power=Corsar 550w gold rated semi modular

Ram=Corsair DDR4 16gb kit at 3000mh

CPU=Intel i5 7600k

CPU Cooler=Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

Motherboard=Asus Z270-K

Monitor=BenQ GW2765HT 1440p 27inch ips

Storge=Don't need it i have a 750GB Samsung ssd.

OS=i have a windows key already.

I am still very new to PC gaming and don't know much even though i have tried my best to get informed about the best things to buy how stuff works if there is anything you can see that i could change please do let me know.
Thanks.

I don't like the S340 due to "crappy" airfolw.
the Z270-K has a very basic VRM - would not recommend this board for overclocking. i'd suggest something like Asus Z270-A at least.
the 60Hz monitor is not that good for gaming. if the primary use for the computer is gaming, you'd be better getting 144Hz one. If you can't go much higher at price, the TN panels of the same size and resolution with 144Hz starting at about the same price. monitors are very long term investments.
If you can, a 100 pounds for i7 7700K is totally worth it. also long term investment
while technically 550watt PSU is enough, i'd recommend 650 unit.

ive put the i7 in and the monitors that i have seen have been all above 350 and that would take me even further out of my price range what would be a better case than the NZXT S340 I've had a look and don't really know of a case that is in the same price rage and has as good reviews.
the price of the build has gone over what i could stretch the budget to any ideas what i could save money on

The cases in the same price range that are much better are:
Fractal Design Define S or Define C.
Phanteks eclipse p400 (a bit more expensive p400s is even better or even p400s TG)

the price of the system you have today is irrelevant. pricing changes on the daily basis.
so in a couple of month, it might be 100pounds less. Especially due to the chance that AMD might release their Vega thing by then. dunno if it will be worth to buy, but it really may affect the pricing of nvidia.
may be you should wait till the "back to school" sales.

The GL2706PQ is 78Hz - considerably better than 60 but far from 144.
i was talking about something like https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/mNBrxr/aoc-ag271qx-270-2560x1440-144hz-monitor-ag271qx

thank you for your help and the suggestions that you have made and the monitor looks really good and if the prices end up dropping then i will be very happy woth buying it.
apart from the i7 having a better clock speed why it be better for gaming?

because many modern games already load the i5 to 80-90%. i7 has double amount of threads.
it helps to achieve higher FPS and smoother, stutter/freezes free gameplay.
if you go with under 100Hz monitor, i'd say you can stay with i5. but if you going with 100+ Hz monitor and want to avoid upgrading the CPU in a year or two, i7 is the way.
