Uninstall your previous drivers before installing the new ones. It's better to use DDU Uninstaller software to clean drivers and registries

That's usually good advice if the drivers have been crashing, but in this case it doesn't sound like the driver is the issue. Anyway, the installer will remove the old drivers first before installing new, so it should all be good.
