Context: I'm from the UK and a student currently near the end a 3D project I'm doing and now whats left is the rendering (in Autodesk Maya), however, my machine can't seem to handle the amount of texture file that are in the scene and when I hit render (using V-Ray), the rendering just eats my memory and either freezes the machine becomes unresponsive or just crashes Maya.
Current Specs:
MSI X99S SLI plus INTEL X99 Chipset, 4 Channel DDR4 ATX Mainboard w/ 8RAM slots..
i7-5820K
16GB (4x4GB | DDR4/2133mhz) <- looking to upgrade
GTX 980
when I encountered this problem for the first time, I sent my project files to Chaos Group (v-ray support) and they said my project uses around 30GB of memory when rendering the scene.
And that is why I've come again to this forum to ask for some suggestions to where I can find the best in budget 32GB ram set for my machine.
