Dont claim that, the socket looks fine now, just tell him it was working fine apart from the 2 ram slots and now its not.

It could be that one of those bent pins were to do with voltage and has fried the CPU, unfortunate, but it happens.

not only is theree 1 pin bent, there also appears to be 1 pin missing altogether

and yes they both mater, they wouldnt be there if they didnt.

you can very carefully try and straighten that pin, they are very fragile, and can easily be snapped off, thats probably what happened to the other pin, he may say you bent it as it was working before, if he decides to inspect it, you will need a sewing pin and magnifying glass to do it, or some very thin tweezers.

Nothing you can do about the broken one, and thats probably why the other 2 slots dont work at all, im pretty sure he would know about that, he probably bent it and snapped it off whilst trying to fix it.

Pretty much this

Your board is more than likely unusable

Looks like a fleck of skin or something like that, possibly off your finger whilst fixing the other pins, try as alexoiu said, also please try the other ram slots that were dead originally, please report back if its all working.
