So I am going to clean my pc with the compressed air I bought.

I presume its just short bursts not too close? I practiced a little on the case and my keyboard and there were some water/moisture marks when I did it and I am quite worried.

How hard do you have to press the lid?

I have 'dataflasjh cleaning spray duster'

Thank you very much! :)

Don't turn the can upside down. You'll see why if you do.

Hold the fans in place. Don't let them spin like a bat out of hell. The compressed air can get them moving way too fast. I had fan blade snap doing that. For something like a PSU fan behind a grate. I'll use a toothpick to hold it in place.

Turn off the power and unplug.

Do it outside, unless you want dust blown around your house.

Blast heatsink fins from the exhaust side towards the intake. Not intake to exhaust. The intake fan pressed the dust against the fins you trying to blow it away not push it against the fins.

When the can gets really cold it doesn't work as well. Allow it to warm up then continue.

Use Q-Tips to loosen stubborn dust behind fan blades and on...

When using a can just short bursts and don't do it to long as condensation will form. After cleaning let it rest for 30 min and then you are fine.

Heck I do it in small bursts (as long as the can is not upside down) while the system is on.

ahh ok. Not sure why I could see water moisture when I pressed it.

Also, I presume its better to remove most component parts when cleaning, e.g graphics card, internal hdd, case fans? But definately not make out cpu cooler/fan.

Thanks for the help guys! Cleaning went well, PSU was quite difficult, all I could do was clean the grill underneath the case where the PSU was. I completely forgot to ask if there is anywhere you should not use the air but its fine.

Thanks again! :)
