A question about 1080ti 8 pin power cables.

Hello. I was thinking about upgrading my gpu's and getting 2 1080ti's but I'm unsure about the PCie connectors and my PSU and was hoping somebody could help me.

My PSU is a Cooler Master V1200 platinum and it has 2 8 pin connections and 6 6 pin connections.

It comes with a ton of cables that have 6 pin for the psu and 6+2 pin connections for the gpu. I was wondering if it was ok to use those cables on the 8 pin connection on the GPU.

I'm afraid it is very much a case of all the gear and no idea with me haha.

Use any of the six 6-pin ports on this picture. (Top leftmost 6 ports).

So just to clarify, I'm ok to plug into the 6 pin socket on the psu and use the 6+2 connection on the gpu?
