Do I need to worry if my RAM stick and heatsink are nearly touching?

I've read that unless all of your DIMM slots are full, you should put RAM sticks in certain DIMM slots, as per the motherboard manual. Thing is, if I stick with that suggestion, then I'm putting my only RAM stick (for the time being) in REALLY close proximity to my heatsink (Cryorig H7). I was wondering if this is okay to do, if I should I forgo the my motherboard's manual and put the RAM stick on a further slot so they have some actual distance?

If they don't touch each other, there should be no problem. But if you have only one stick, it should not matter at all which slot you put it in; it is only important when using more sticks. Although some boards can be more sensitive to the stick(s) placement, but nothing prohibits you from trying if your board is one of those that does not care.

Their no problem at all in doing that you can even have the cooler fan touching the memory.
Heatsinks are more or less just for looks not even really needed since the old DDR2 memory that required more voltage.
Their a lot of people that buy memory without them like this and havr no heat issues.

You'd be fine with the first configuration (RAM in 2nd slot closest to cooler). I got mine even closer:

No, it won't fry anything.
But the very, very minute vibration can't be a 'benefit'.
If there is a way to get even the thickness of a piece of paper clearance....that is far better, IMHO.
