i have build a gaming pc which has i5 7600k with gtx 1060 and i have chosen 8gb ram with it i have seen some gameplays of the same hardware but they get the same fps at ultra as i do at high settings so does ram make a huge difference in FPS? and is it worth spending that much money ?

Solution
That depends on the game, in the vast majority of games 8gb is plenty. Some newer games like bf1 on my sytem with 16gb uses about 8.5gb of my 16gb including the 1.5gb windows uses at idle, though it still runs fine with only 8gb. No 16gb of ram will not make a "huge" difference in anything, it will make a difference but it wont be large maybe not even noticeable depending on the game.

Depends on game, for many it would not matter. However, things change if you want run something ELSE at the same time (a browser for example). Then those 8 Gb would need to be split between game and other programs, possibly causing game to not have enough RAM, which in turn causes FPS drops.
