I am currently running an AMD Athlon x4 880k with a ASUS RX-460 OC 2GB and I was looking to upgrade my graphics card. I was looking into upgrading to a EVGA GeForce GTX 1050ti. I was curious if it ran off of the motherboard power, because I have looked through reviews and can't determine whether or not it does. I would also like to know if it would be a good upgrade for my current setup. Any help would be appreciated :)

1050ti is better then rx 460, but not by a margin that would make me call it upgrade.
As for requiring additional power from PSU, you would need to list exact model you have in mind, as some of them need extra power and some others not.

This is the one I had looked at originally, I read through reviews and questions and could not determine if it ran off of motherboard power

Would this work well with my current processor compared to the 1050?
Also could you link me to a RX-470?
