Me and my friend are working on a build (my second his first) and we just wanted some suggestions. It's his first build and he said he wants to last as long as possible and still be very powerful without having to upgrade it.

The budget is very flexible so we wouldn't mind any crazy upgrades. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks you!

the 1tb SSD is way overpriced. the VRM waterblocks in the crosshair z270 series made it orth it. without it, the gigabyte is a better deal. even for gaming, the 1700X can easily be overclocked to 1800X levels. its just a lower binned cpu. the aorus is a much better model in my opinion. and i bumped up ur peripheral to a pro level ;)

with a monster of a computer like that I'd get a better monitor. something that could keep up with frames. (not like most eyes can tell a big difference beyond 100 anyway, but the same could be said for 2k+) I don't know if you're set on that screen size or not. personally I think you would get more out of a 2k display 144hz monitor.

it comes down to personal preference and what your eyes can see. some people cant tell past 60-70 fps some people cant tell past 1080p
