I have a DELL Optiplex 7010 DT (standard PSU /250W).
I'd like to get the GTX1050ti LP for it.
Do you think I have enough power to make it work?
I didn't find any more powerful and decent PSU for it (the one I found was a 400W from Amazon but far too loud according to the reviews).

For this reason, I'd like to keep my OEM PSU which is very quiet (if sbdy know a nice one, I may change my mind of course).
In addition, I don't want to take any risk to have my actual PSU and new GPU (1050ti) to be ruined.

If none of them is possible, what is the best graphic card I can install for this DELL Optiplex 7010 DT?

Thanks for you help, appreciated.

I don't believe that is a motherboard limitation. I believe it is a disclaimer due to the tiny PSU Dell provided with those PCs. But my 1050 Ti has been working fine on my Optiplex 790 SFF with its small 240W PSU. Of course, one does this at one's own risk. If replacing the PSU is not a problem, then that would be the preferred way to go.

Many thanks for your quick answer.
I red your thread and it's quite interesting. Do you think it's worth trying at the end?

I'm not sure about the PCIe port limitation but I red that on a 7010 MT, it could handle 75W (50W on the SSFs) so it should do the job if the total doesn't exceed 250W (which I'm not very confident with). 300W is recommended by the seller.

Hi Vic 40,
Thank you so much, I found the tfx-350 but from LC instead (half-price cheaper and same specs). It should do the job hopefully.

Do you think the Optiplex 7010 motherboard / PCIe port will handle 75W (of MSI GTX 1050 ti LP) and if this GPU could fit in a my Desktop Tower?

I found the Dell Optiplex 7010 specs (http://) and according to it at page 19, the DT will handle only 50W. I think it could be a problem with the GTX1050 ti which requires 75W. If I get the 350W PSU, would it help to make it run on my machine?

Hi guys
I have a Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF and it works with a Gigabyte 1050 Ti LP 4 GB card, but I had to add extra power to the 12V line. I bought a Dell C764N power supply for the Dell OptiPlex SX280, GX620,745, 755. I connected 12v lines and used an additional relay that shorted the output of the remote power supply to ground. The whole thing works great, the extra power supply is small and under the desk. Relay control is, however, defective and in the future I will change it to a normal tiny transistor.
