I have recently ordered all of the parts to a brand new top of the line pc. However, I planned to use my ssd out of my old build as storage. My old build is running an amd fx-4170, gtx 660, and a gigabyte atx motherboard. My new build is running a b250i mobo, gtx 1080, and an i7 7700. Normally, I would just save a windows installation on a flash drive, format the ssd, and reinstall. However, my ssd is filled with games and programs which would probably take ages to redownload with my fairly slow internet. Is there any way I could maybe save some of the games onto a hardrive and just copy them over once I have reinstalled windows? Thanks!

Are they steam games? if they are all in a steam library folder you can copy the folder onto the hdd and then move them back once windows is reinstalled. To reuse, you just download the Steam client and point the default library location at the folder and steam will find them again and not need to dl them again.

you can do similar with Origin as well. Same applies to WOW.

I would also move the documents folder onto same drive as its likely the save games are in it.
