release date of skylake x?

hi guys, i was about to buy a 7700k for my gaming rig and then saw the new x299 board. i was wondering if the release date for the 7800x is out yet? i may not get the 7800x as im only doing gaming but it could cause a drop in prices so if the release is soon i don't want to buy now.

yeah, i'm only planning on gaming. i've just been made paranoid by all the 6/8 core processors coming out recently. is it worth waiting to see if theres a price drop on the 7700k?

In my experience unless you can get lucky and find a special offer deal the prices wont drop that much, if at all.

I wouldn't worry about cores too much for gaming. I'm still running a 4670k and with a 1070 it kicks the crap out of anything you throw at it on a 1440p screen - even on Ultra.
