So, I recently built a computer, specs i5 6400, 1060 6gb, 8gb ram, 450w PSU. For about 2 moths ago I bought Rainbow six siege and at that time it didn't fps drop. I got about 100-110 fps on maximum settings. I stopped playing it and now I started again. But now I have 55 fps on maximum setting and I have no idea why, now I play on medium and have 90-120 fps but it should be better. I have the latest nvidia drivers. I don't know whats wrong. Please help!

Solution
Try 378.42 and see if it persists. That's the version I'm using and the only problem I've run into so far is an odd bit of horizontal screen tearing only in Google Chrome.

I dont think thats it, when I first started the game I had the normal fps, but when I got the map "Border" I went down to 55 fps and it didn't go higher at all after that. Couldn't get mote than 55 fps. So, I lowerd the setting and here I sit and writing this.. :/

The thing is, I don't remember wich one that was. Could it be that my pc is dusty on the inside? It's not that dusty. But haven't cleaned it for 5 months.

Hi, I finally had time to answer your thread. Sorry I ignored your PM for so long.

1) Can you please tell me the temperature of the CPU while gaming? CoreTemp can help with this. http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

2) When Nvidia updates your drivers, they don't uninstall the old ones before installing the new ones. This is usually fine, but once in awhile, the different drivers will begin arguing with each other and GPU performance will be in the toilet.

I would like you to fresh install your drivers. I will explain how below.

1) Download DDU, extract the contents of the .ZIP folder to your desktop but don't run it yet. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
2) Download GeForce Experience for help with seamless driver installation. Don't run it yet. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
3) Restart into Safe Mode. To do this, open the Start menu, open the power menu and hold Shift while you click on Restart. You're greeted with a fullscreen menu. Troubleshoot, Advanced, Advanced Restart, Restart. It may be called Advanced Startup, I always forget. Either way, it's the only one that mentions restarting.
4) Once logged into Safe Mode, run DDU. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the program, then use it to remove all Nvidia drivers.
5) If you've never had any AMD hardware in this computer, skip this step. If you've previously had AMD hardware in this machine, also remove all AMD drivers that may still be in your machine.
6) Restart normally.
7) Install GeForce Experience. It will ask you to create or connect an account. I created an Nvidia account via my email and I haven't gotten a single piece of junk mail from them.
8) Once logged into GeForce Experience, click on Drivers at the top left. From there, it will guide you through installing your drivers. Restart when you're done.
9) Take some time to play your games. Observe whether or not system behavior has improved.

Im going to try this. But im going away the 14th to the 18th. And also i've heard that when after you've removed all the drivers you only get a blackscreen. Is that true?

That's wrong.

With no drivers, you will be limited to a non-HD resolution, but you will still have a display. It won't look crisp and clear unless drivers are installed.

Can confirm, just changed out my drivers recently using DDU and it only rendered on my 2nd monitor (which is apparently connected to the monitor 1 port, whoops) and at like 1024x768 until I installed the drivers again.

Safe mode loads just the basics needed for Windows to function. The thing about DDU is that there's nothing to screw up; it only has any effect if you pick the right settings. Pick wrong and it just simply does nothing.

Still, Im really scared xd. I watched a video on youtube on how to use ddu and there were many people that wrote "This messed up my pc, thanks". That made me even more scared. I saved for over 3 years to get this pc and I don't want it to break.

So, I tried this. It didn't make an differance. I now noticed everything went wrong after the windows 10 creators update.. Could it be that? My friends pc also went to shit after that update. And I don't know how to roll back to windows 10 1607 version..

No, I've disabled everything in the gaming settings. I've also turned off game dvr in the xbox app. I don't know what to do.
