I have a 250GB M.2 SATA SSD which is what i have my OS installed on, leaving only 80 or so GB left. I then have a 1TB HDD used for utility and games. However, i was thinking on buying a new SSD or HDD for purely games but i want them to be snappy at loading, I have Battlefield 4 and 1 that need an SSD to be significantly faster at loading into the game, but it takes up so much space on my SSD and I would like to have more games on my SSD for quicker loading times (Elder Scrolls Online).

Should I get a 1TB SSD M.2 SATA or a 2TB 7200rpm HDD?

If I were you, i'd get the SSD (although I think 1TB is a bit overkill, 500gb should be enough). A SSD is simply SO MUCH faster than an HDD.

For a budget option: Intel 600P (comes in 120/256/512/1TB versions)
And for a high end option: Samsung 960 Pro
The WD blue isn't bad, but it doesn't achieve as high reading speeds as above SSD's.

A hybrid drive will only help for files that are loaded often. So if you are only running 1 game for awhile it will cache the game(or atleast much as it can before the ssd part is full) and it will liad faster, but whem you switch to another it will be like loading from a standard hdd. I know thos from experience as I use a 2tb sshd for many of games.
